Uvea

The uvea is that the middle layer of the eye. It lies beneath the white a part of the eye (the sclera). The uvea consists of the layer and structures of the eye beneath the white of the eye (sclera). it's three parts:

  • The iris, which is that the colored a part of the eye.
  • The membrane , which is that the structure within the eye that secretes the transparent liquid within the eye.
  • The choroid, which is that the layer of blood vessels and animal tissue between the sclera and therefore the retina.
  • These structures control many eye functions, including adjusting to different levels of light or distances of objects. Inflammation of 1 or more of those structures is called uveitis.
