Uvea

The uvea is that the middle layer of the eye. It lies beneath the white a part of the eye (the sclera). The uvea consists of the layer and structures of the eye beneath the white of the eye (sclera). it’s three parts:

  • The iris, which is that the colored a part of the eye.
  • The membrane , which is that the structure within the eye that secretes the transparent liquid within the eye.
  • The choroid, which is that the layer of blood vessels and animal tissue between the sclera and therefore the retina.

These structures control many eye functions, including adjusting to different levels of light or distances of objects. Inflammation of 1 or more of those structures is called uveitis.
